The unit must be in possession of all necessary imaging equipment for complete and adequate breast diagnosis.

6.2

The minimum equipment in a department giving radiotherapy must be two megavoltage units, a brachytherapy unit, a simulator and a computerised planning system. The department must have a radiotherapeutic quality control programme for breast cases.
